ARTWORKS

Ruth can recall how twenty years ago her successful life as a natural therapist, radio talk-back host, author and teacher led to her being voted one of Queensland’s most intriguing women.

Visitors at the couple's clinics would have seen her artwork on the walls. Back then art was used to calm and clear the mind, now in retirement art takes up most of her time, as well as mentoring new therapists, gardening, sailing and writing which also help to keep the mind active.

An active member of the Tasmanian Art Society, Huon Art Exhibition Group, the Channel Regional Art Group; she has held many successful solo exhibitions and contributed to others.  Private commissions have included portraits of Tasmanian Royce Hart, captain of the Richmond Australian Rules football team from 1967-72

Ruth mosaics and paints a variety of subjects from views of the changing Tasmanian land & seascapes, yachting scenes, wildlife, giant florals and memories from travels overseas from her home studio overlooking the D’Entrecasteaux Channel south of Hobart, Tasmania.

Ruth's collections of works can be viewd over the following pages:
